You can install any android app. But, you cannot do that directly through MK808. You need to download APK VIA Laptop/PC, then transfer it to the device(MX808/MK808) and install it.

  3. Henry, since these scanners are basically the same units, why is the MK808 so much heavier? Seams if they are the same the weights would be much more in line with each other.

  7. Want to buy a scanner that has a 38-pin adapter for Mercedes Benz. I’ve heard on the Benz forums that I need this adapter for resetting codes in the Trans Control Module after replacing the conductor plate on the 722.6 auto transmission. I know Autel sells these as part of a kit, but I can’t find any retailers they recommend which stock or can get the adapter by itself. Do you know any vendors that sell this part?

  8. Holy moly, what a bad job on this article. Halfway through and the only difference I can see is one beeps and the other buzzes. Very interested in the Autel scanners but i am giving up on this article to define any difference in these 2 models.

  11. Hello, I have two cars with different issues. I have 2013 Nissan Altima that has Air Bag light that stays on constantly. I need to get this corrected before the car can be inspected.

Next, I replaced the battery about 3 month ago in the 2007 Cadillac SRX. Soon after that, I went to have the car inspected but three sensors showed “not ready”. The state of Texas will allow “only one sensor to show not ready”. All the people at these inspection places just tell you to just to drive the car. I put over 500 mile on the car driving in the city and on the highway. I’ve run two tanks full of gasoline and paid $50 for two separate inspections. Three months later, I still have two sensors showed “not ready”. They are the “Catalyst” and the “Evap”. I’ve never had a “Check Engine” or any fault codes on this car because the car only has 34,000 miles on the odometer.

Will the MK808 help me figure out why the sensors are not working and how to address the Air Bag light? Or do you recommend a different Autel Diagnostic tool
