Will the Foxwell NT301 scan tool read ABS/airbag codes?

No, it won’t. The Foxwell NT301 diagnostic code reader is able to read and clear check engine information which is normally part of the OBD2 system, but it cannot function on non-OBD two systems such as airbags, ABS, service oil light, and much more. If you want to read ABS or airbag codes, then you will have to upgrade to a more advanced scanner like the Foxwell NT630 scan tool. This will cost you more, but it will be able to perform several functions, including reading and clearing ABS/airbag codes.

Another challenge is limited functions. Even though this scan tool can perform some basic functions, it doesn’t provide advanced functions like service oil light and ABS.

The user manual provided by the manufacturer is very shallow and doesn’t provide a lot of information to the user. Hence, if you’re a starter or DIYer, this may be challenging as there are no clear directions.

Compare With Foxwell NT201 and NT510:

The features are quite the same when you compare both entry-level scanners. The only difference you can see is that the NT301 doesn’t support battery registration. But the price is lower than the NT510. Also, the Foxwell NT301 offers advanced diagnostic support that you will not get with the Foxwell NT201.

Who will buy this Foxwell NT301 scan tool?

This diagnostic scanner is an amazing code reader for people who want to upgrade from the entry-level Foxwell scanner to a more advanced scan tool with extra features. It may not be the best scan tool on the market, but it offers some amazing features. That’s why it is better suited for DIYers, car owners, and startup mechanics.
