FAQ

Question: What parts of the vehicle can cause the check engine light to come on?
Answer: The engine control unit is what triggers the check engine light to come on. Other parts that may cause the check engine light to come on include air-fuel ratio sensor, gas cap, spark plug wires, EGR valve, catalytic converter, oxygen sensor, evaporative emission canister purge valve, ignition coils, spark plugs, mass airflow sensor, and thermostat.

Question: Will the Foxwell NT301 scan tool read ABS/airbag codes?
Answer: No, it won’t. The Foxwell NT301 diagnostic code reader is able to read and clear check engine information which is normally part of the OBD 2 system, but it cannot function on non-OBD 2 systems such as airbags, ABS, service oil light, and much more. If you want to read ABS or airbag codes, then you will have to upgrade to a more advanced scanner like the Foxwell NT630 scan tool. • NT650 has more advanced features than the Foxwell NT301 scanner.
Bi-directional Diagnostic Tests, Steering Angle Sensor Calibration, TPMS TPS Battery Registration, etc. few of the features that are not included in the NT301.
You also remember that NT301 only 70 Bucks; on the other-hand NT650 price is 240 bucks.

  1. Have a Ford F-150 XLT 5.0L One of my O2 sensor through a code. Can the NT301 scanner tell me what sensor it is or just that it’s a O2 sensor.
