  1. Hi. What happens with the scanner if you don’t update after 1 year is up? What capabilities are affected?

    1. MaxiSys diagnostic scanners do not require an active subscription to function. Once the update period runs out, you will be able to use the tool just as before with two exceptions:

      #One: Programming BMW modules through the Elite is only possible with an active subscription. Although, It could still be done using the J2534 pass through and a laptop if you purchase a BMW OSS J2534 subscription.

      #Two: Mercedes SCN coding also requires an active subscription.

  2. Can the Maxisys Pro , or any other Autel Scanners…run the secondary air test on BMW, ( like the MaxiSys Elite can ) and set the secondary air monitor, once test cycle successfully completed, at engine operating temperature ( meaning outside of cold start conditions ), like the MaxiSys elite can ?
